The follower (1) has a roller (2) immediately running from inside of guide walls (9) with front surfaces (12). An output side (10) of the follower is represented as a contacting area (11) indirectly for a gas shuttle valve or a pump piston. A circumferential boundary wall (15) of a ring segment-like lubricant retention pocket (14) stands orthogonally to the surfaces of the roller. The pocket is provided with specific depth, where the depth lays in a region maximum of an edge rupture of the surfaces to an outer jacket (7). A floating bushing is provided as a storage unit (4) for the roller.
