PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device configured to trace the horizontal movement of a viewer and form a three-dimensional image at the visual point of the moved position, and to provide a control method.SOLUTION: The display device includes: a light source part wherein a plurality of light sources, which respectively function as a right-eye light source and a left-eye light source, are arrayed; a display part configured to display a right-eye image displayed with the light emitted from the right-eye light source and a left-eye image displayed with the light emitted from the left-eye light source; an optical system configured to condense the display light of each of the right-eye image and the left-eye image into each of areas corresponding to the positions of the right-eye light source and the left-eye light source; and a light source control part configured to, in the case of switching the respective light sources included in the plurality of light sources to function as either of the right-eye light source and the left-eye light source, maintain the function of at least one of the light sources, and also, switch the function of the other light source. |
