PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent waste toner equal to or more than tolerance from being fed into a temporary storage unit that is provided so as to continue image forming operation even in a state where a waste toner bottle is detached without providing a sensor in the temporary storage unit.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is configured such that discharge speed of the waste toner to be discharged from the temporary storage unit is higher than feed speed of the waste toner to be fed into the temporary storage unit. In the image forming apparatus, a storage counter counts driving time information of a body-side waste toner-conveying member that feeds the waste toner into the temporary storage unit when and after detecting detachment of the waste toner bottle (S41). When the counted value becomes a storage threshold (S44), it is determined as a full state of the temporary storage unit, and image forming operation is inhibited (S45). |
