PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing a furnace wall of a blast furnace, which facilitates the construction work of the furnace wall around stave coolers in a short period of time, and does not cause a trouble such as a back draft of a furnace gas.SOLUTION: This construction method includes: applying a monolithic refractory onto an in-furnace face side of stave coolers 1 and 2 so as to make the in-furnace face smooth, when filling a joint S1 between the stave coolers 1 and 2, and a space S2 between the stave coolers 1 and 2 and an iron shell 4, with the monolithic refractory; sticking a sealing tape 3 to the gap S1 between the stave coolers 1 and 2; and then filling the joint S1 and the space S2 with the monolithic refractory. |
