PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus adjusting apparatus that determines a focus driving amount with respect to the operation amount of a knob on the basis of depth information, in order to solve the following problems: when the depth is small, it is easy to bring into focus near an in-focus position, however, when there is a large amount of blur, the in-focus position cannot be obtained unless the operating amount of the knob is increased.SOLUTION: The focus adjusting apparatus comprises: a focus operating means for output of a focus command signal for driving a focus lens according to the operation amount of the focus operating means; a focus driving means for driving the focus lens in response to the focus command signal from the focus operating means; a position detecting means for detecting a position of the focus lens; a focus detecting means for detecting an in-focus state; and an operation sensitivity determining means for determining a focus operation sensitivity of the focus operating means based on focus information obtained from the focus detecting means and the position of the focus lens. |
