PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change gases while reducing the burden of an operator when capable of feeding two gases, carbon dioxide gas and air.SOLUTION: This medical gas feed system includes: a gas feeder 3 having a gas tank 60 which is packed with carbon dioxide gas; a light source 2 incorporating an air pump 23; and an endoscope capable of feeding the carbon dioxide gas or air to a body cavity. This medical gas feed system further includes a controller 80 controlling to put the air pump 23 of the light source 2 in a deactivated state upon detection of a start of a carbon dioxide gas supply from the gas feeder 3. This constitution requires only an operation for starting the supply of the carbon dioxide gas and dispenses with an operation for deactivating the air pump 23 so as to change over the gases while reducing the burden of the operator. |
