PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording system which easily creates a user's individual library into the user's individual storage medium.SOLUTION: The recording system has a storage medium 12 which stores user recognition information and video information, and a recorder 11 which has a storage medium loading part 18 and records video information. The recorder 11 has a recording part 16 which records video information, a video information storage part 22 which stores recognition information of a user who records video information and the video information, and a recognition information determination part 20 which acquires recognition information stored in the storage medium 12 and determines whether the acquired recognition information matches recognition information of a user who records video information. If recognition information matching is successful, the recording part 16 stores video information into the storage medium 12 connected to the medium loading part 18. On the other hand, if not successful, the recording part 16 stores video information into the video information storage part 22. |
