PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain continuous measurement of the groove width of a seam portion 81 of a metal roof 8 as well as easy and accurate measurement thereof.SOLUTION: The tester includes: a box body 1 formed of a rectangular top plate 11 and circumferential wall plates 12 suspended from the four sides thereof; a pressed portion 2 which supports a rear reference line 81a of the seam portion 81 of the metal roof 8; a pressing bar-like portion 31 having elasticity such that it retreats when it exceeds a normal value while maintaining a space corresponding to a normal width of groove width at a predetermined height position of a groove portion 81c of the seam portion 81 of the metal roof 8; and a plurality of front and rear rolls 4. The pressed portion 2 and the pressing bar-like portion 31 are suspended inside the box body 1, and the rolls 4 are provided at positions outside the pressed portion 2 and the pressing bar-like portion 31 within the box body 1. The tester further includes an alarm means X so that an alarm signal is detected when the groove width exceeds the normal value in measurement. |
