PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress coagulation or deposition of a coloring agent in the vicinity of a discharge port.SOLUTION: An ink-jet printer 101 includes a recording head 2 ejecting ink; an ejection head 3 ejecting an improving liquid for improving image quality; and an irradiation device 4 arranged between the recording head 2 and the ejection head 3 with respect to a paper conveying direction. The irradiation device 4 irradiates ultraviolet rays (ultraviolet light) toward a conveying surface 19 to pass through a space between both heads 2, 3 with respect to the paper conveying direction. At least one of the ink and improving liquid contains a curable substance cured by the irradiation of ultraviolet rays (ultraviolet light). |
