A method, which includes setting random access policy for a User Equipment (UE), for triggering the radio resource control connection re-establishment is provided in the present invention. The method includes: the UE triggers a radio resource control connection re-establishment process when the random access procedure originated by the UE according to the set random access policy is failed. An apparatus for triggering the radio resource control connection re-establishment is further provided in the present invention. The apparatus includes a setting unit, an originating unit, a conforming unit and a triggering unit. Wherein, the setting unit is used for setting random access policy for UE; the originating unit is used for originating a random access procedure according to the set random access policy; the conforming unit is used for conforming whether the random access procedure originated by the originating unit is successful, and triggering the triggering unit when failure occurs; and the triggering unit is used for triggering a radio resource control connection re-establishment procedure. The technical solution in the present invention is simple, and has good succession to the prior art, it also has the advantages of low delay and the quick restoration for radio links etc. |
