EQUIPMENT FOR REMOTE LAUNCHING OF CEMENTING PLUGS

An apparatus for remotely launching cementing plugs (101, 102) is configured such that the length of a dart (110, 111) is not necessarily the same as the corresponding plug to be launched. Such a design presents operational and ergonomic advantages, particularly in an offshore environment. The apparatus supports not only the traditional two-plug cementing process, but may also accommodate additional plugs for more precise fluid- displacement control.
