The panel (10) has a light-permeable transparent plate (12) comprising first, second and third side edges (16-20), a decoration layer, illumination units (24, 26) e.g. LED strips, an electrical connection (30), and a cable (28) for supplying electrical power to the strips. The electrical connection is attached to the second side edge at transition from the first side edge. One of the illumination units is extended along the second side edge. The cable is extended along the second side edge to the third side edge. Another illumination unit is extended along the third side edge.
