PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve adhesive strength between a collector and an electrode layer when a high-solid type electrode kneading object is applied.SOLUTION: An electrode manufacturing device forms the electrode layer on the collector by applying on the collector the slurry electrode kneading object which is made by kneading electrode materials and a solvent, then by volatilizing the solvent from the electrode kneading object. The device includes: a coating device 32 including a processing section 34 for forming grooves on a collector surface coated with the high-solid type electrode kneading object, viscosity of which is adjusted at a predetermined shear rate so that pressing can be performed before the solvent is volatilized and to apply the electrode kneading object with the grooves formed by the processing section 34 on the collector surface to be coated with the kneading object to the collector; and a pressing device to press and compress the electrode kneading object applied to the collector. |
