Marking composition comprises: a silicon dioxide- and/or an aluminum oxide content, which is present in an amount of at least 70 wt.%, preferably 94 wt.% of the total amount of the composition; and at least one minor component, which are made upto 100 wt.%. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a liquid dye for marking sports fields and playgrounds, having a solid content of less than 30 wt.%, preferably 10-25 wt.%, and a liquid content, which is made upto 100 wt.%, where the solid content is formed by the marking composition; and (2) a sports field or a playground exhibiting a marking made of the marking composition or the liquid dye.
