PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for hybrid vehicle which satisfies acceleration request and improvement in the fuel consumption during traveling on an uphill in an EV(electric vehicle) traveling mode.SOLUTION: The driving device for the hybrid vehicle is provided with a maximum-torque inducing unit for inducing maximum torque which can be output by a motor; a starting torque induction unit for inducing starting torque for starting an internal combustion engine by the motor; a torque restriction value setting unit for setting the restricted value of the torque to be output by the motor during traveling with power only by the motor, based on the maximum torque and the starting torque; a degree of inclination induction unit for inducing the degree of inclination of a road surface during current traveling; and a degree of inclination determination unit for determining the degree of inclination. When it is determined that the degree of inclination is equal to or more than a first threshold by the degree of inclination determination unit, a torque restriction value setting unit sets a torque restriction value which is larger than normal and within the range of the maximum torque.
