PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sealed battery, by which welding start and end regions are stably welded when an outer can and a lid plate both of which are made of an aluminum-based metal are welded and sealed by a continuous wave (CW) laser beam.SOLUTION: In the method for producing the sealed battery in which the fitting part 30 of the outer can 12 made of the aluminum-based metal to the lid plate 13 made of the aluminum-based metal and arranged on the mouth of the outer can 12 is welded and sealed by irradiating the fitting part 30 with the laser beam LB from CW laser beam welding equipment, the laser beam LB is output for scanning while pulse-modulating the output of the laser beam LB in a welding start region 31A, and then, the laser beam is output for scanning at a constant output power. |
