PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection sensor capable of monitoring a monitoring range without detecting an exiting user as an intruder.SOLUTION: This object detection sensor comparing present ranging data acquired by scanning a caution area and reference data to determine the presence/absence of an intrusion object inside the caution area stores an exit area that is an area in the caution area which a user has passed when the user exits, determines the presence/absence of the intrusion object in the caution area except the exist area until a prescribed time lapses when receiving an input of a guard start signal from a guard device, and determines the presence/absence of the intrusion object in the caution area including the exit area when the prescribed time lapses.
