PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely useful lead-free free-machining bronze casting alloy that does not contain Pb, is resistant to erosion and corrosion, has good mechanical properties (toughness) in a cast structure, and can be cast into water-contacting components of water pipes, for example, via continuous casting, mold casting, or sand casting.SOLUTION: The disclosed lead-free free-machining bronze casting alloy contains, by weight, between 19.0% and 22.0% Zn, between 1.0% and 2.0% Si, between 0.5% and 1.5% Bi, between 1.0% and 2.0% Sn, and not more than 0.20% Pb, and the remainder comprising copper and unavoidable impurities. |
