PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclone separator capable of efficiently separating dust and surely collecting the dust into a dust collection chamber with no dust caught by an opening edge of an opening for communicating a swirl chamber to the dust collection chamber, and to provide a vacuum cleaner mounted with the cyclone separator.SOLUTION: A primary swirl chamber 12 swirls dust-containing air flowing therein from a primary inlet 11, to separate dust from the dust-containing air and exhausts the air, from which the dust has been removed, from a primary outlet 15. In an opening edge of a zero-order opening 113 formed by opening a part of the side wall of the primary swirl chamber 12, at least a part of the opening edge being located on the downstream side of the swirling direction of the dust-containing air has a rounded shape. Accordingly, the dust separated from the dust-containing air is surely caught into a zero-order dust collection chamber 114 without being caught by the opening edge of the zero-order opening section 113. |
