PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated circuit device including an unauthorized read/write operation prevention function to data written in a flash memory, and to provide a control method for the same.SOLUTION: This integrated circuit device includes: an electrically rewritable nonvolatile memory 14; and a control circuit 10 making the nonvolatile memory 14 rewritable based on an instruction from an external device. The control circuit 10 includes: a serial communication circuit 18 receiving serial data from the external device; a command analysis circuit 20 analyzing the received serial data; and a nonvolatile memory control circuit 22 performing procedure control for rewriting the nonvolatile memory 14 according to analyzed contents. The nonvolatile memory control circuit 22 reads a prescribed bit of the nonvolatile memory 14, and protects writing or reading of the nonvolatile memory 14 when protect data are written in the prescribed bit of the nonvolatile memory 14. |
