PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system which allows suppression of response delay of an engine start.SOLUTION: The vehicle control system includes a clutch disposed in a transmission path of power between an engine and drive wheels, allowing transmission of the power between the engine and the drive wheels by engagement by pressure of an operating fluid; and an electric motor connected to the drive wheel side of the clutch in the transmission path. When a transfer is made from an electric motor travel to travel by power of the electric motor, by releasing the clutch and stopping the engine to an engine travel to travel by the use of at least power of the engine, the clutch is engaged, to start the engine by the power of the electric motor. Advance filling (S30) for previous filling of the operating fluid in the clutch, before a start request of the engine for the transferring is performed, can be executed, and the pressure of the operating fluid supplied to the clutch, when the engine is determined, based on the degree of the progress of the advance filling, when a start request for the engine is performed (S60, S70). |
