PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nanofiber by which the nanofiber can be produced in an extremely simple step without requiring a large-scale mechanism.SOLUTION: The method for producing the nanofiber includes: a first step of forming a state in which a polymer material solution is sandwiched between two sample adhesion plates (a first sample adhesion plate 120 and a second sample adhesion plate 130) wherein mutually opposite sample adhesion surfaces are adjacent; a second step of suddenly separating the two sample adhesion plates (the first sample adhesion plate 120 and second sample adhesion plate 130), thereby stretching the polymer material, and producing the nanofiber; and a third step of recovering the nanofiber kept in a state that the nanofiber is stretched between the two sample adhesion plates (the first sample adhesion plate 120 and second sample adhesion plate 130) in the order.
