PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a blue organic light emitting element with a long continuous drive lifetime.SOLUTION: An organic light emitting element has a light emitting layer having a host material and a dopant material of an electron-trap type or a hole-trap type and a hole-blocking layer or an electron-blocking layer. A difference between the LUMO of a dopant and the LUMO of a host, a magnitude relation between the HOMO of the host and the HOMO of the dopant, and a difference between the lowest excited triplet energy T1 of the host material and the T1 of the hole-blocking layer adjacent to the light emitting layer or the T1 of the electron-blocking layer are specified. There is provided the organic light emitting element in which the material of the host and the hole-blocking layer and the material of the electron-blocking layer have either biphenyl or hydrocarbon compounds having partial structures of 1-phenylnaphthalene. |
