PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment-friendly power transmission belt by reducing use of petroleum/coal resources.SOLUTION: This power transmission belt includes core wires 1 buried along a belt longitudinal direction, and a compressed rubber layer 2. A ratio of materials derived from non-petroleum/non-coal of materials forming the compressed rubber layer 2 is 80 mass% or more. Since the power transmission belt is manufactured with the use of the petroleum/coal resources remarkably reduced, it is possible to provide the environment-friendly power transmission. |
