PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily introducing a 9-phenyl-10-phenylethynylanthracene structure into a main chain or the like of a polymer, which structure can give fluorescence to a product.SOLUTION: There are disclosed a new compound having two amino groups, i.e. 9-(4-aminophenyl)-10-(4-aminophenylethynyl)anthracene which can introduce a 9-phenyl-10-phenylethynylanthracene structure into a downstream product such as a polymer, and a method for producing the same by allowing 9-(4-aminophenyl)-10-halogenoanthracene to react with 4-aminophenylacetylene.
