PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for magnetic force sorting of fine particles which increase the efficiency of analytical precision or separative work after separating magnetized fine particles from non-magnetized ones and also can sort magnetic force of the fine particles group within the desirable magnetic range, and also to provide a microwell for magnetic force sorting to be used in this method.SOLUTION: The magnetic force sorting method is to hold volatile liquid containing both magnetized fine particles magnetized by applying magnetic force and non-magnetized fine particles non-magnetized by applying magnetic force into a flat-bottomed hollow made on the microwell, sorting the fine particles group into magnetized fine particles and non-magnetized ones. A tabular spacer made of non-magnetic material mounted on tip of the magnet is immersed in the volatile liquid and the fine particles group is sandwiched between the spacer and bottom face of the hollow. Under such conditions, depth of the volatile liquid in the hollow is defined as the level in which the spacer is immersed in the volatile liquid while the magnet is not immersed, allowing magnetized fine particles to be absorbed onto the magnet through the spacer. |
