The present invention refers to the manufacture of an abrasive agglomerate, which obtention form is innovative, as well as the fact of including a plurality of abrasive particles of small size retained therebetween so as to form a permeable cellular structure as the liquid is flowed, which are commonly used in the ground operations. The size and chemical composition of the particles that form the abrasive agglomerate may be very different with the purpose of maximize the benefits attained with this grain. The use of two vitrified bands and a single cooking stage ensures, in an effective and affordable manner, the particles to be bonded so as to form the agglomerate, while the cellular structure is maintained, and the agglomerates simultaneously bonded therebetween. The use of the present grain in the manufacture of vitrified abrasive products allows high efficiencies to be reached with a high capacity and quality of cut.
