PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an R-Fe-B based permanent magnet having high coercive force.SOLUTION: An organic compound solution doped with an organic metal compound represented by Si-(OR)(wherein R is any one of 2-6C alkyl groups and may be a straight chain or a branched chain, and x is any integer) is added to a fine powder of a pulverized R-Fe-B magnet, and the organic metal compound is uniformly deposited to the surface of the magnetic particles. After that, a molded body formed by powder compaction is kept for several hours at 200-900°C standing in a hydrogen atmosphere to executed temporary baking process in hydrogen. Then, the molded body is baked at 800-1,180°C, thereby a permanent magnet 1 of structure containing R(Fe, (Co), Si)B main phase and an R-Fe(Co)-Si grain boundary phase and that does not contain a B-rich phase is manufactured. |
