PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white light emitting diode which suppresses thermal degradation of a phosphor, improves optical mixing characteristics, reduces color unevenness and enhances emission intensity, and to provide a substrate for a light emitting diode used therein and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The substrate for a light emitting diode consists of a single crystal layer which can form a light emitting diode element, and a solidified body which is formed of two or more oxide phases selected from single metal oxides and composite metal oxides and mutually entangling three-dimensionally and continuously. At least one oxide phase and a ceramic composite layer for optical conversion containing a metallic element oxide emitting fluorescence are bonded directly, and the thickness of the single crystal layer is 0.100-0.0005 mm. |
