PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller board of an image forming apparatus which allows a computer program to be easily updated in an extension board, the extension board of the image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus, and a method for updating the computer program.SOLUTION: The controller board of the image forming apparatus, to which the extension board is connected includes: an external interface to be used for external communication of the image forming apparatus; an extension board interface which transmits data to/from the extension board; an updated program confirmation means which confirms whether a device to be connected by the external interface has an updated program for the computer program to be executed by a CPU of the extension board; an updated program acquisition means which acquires the updated program from the external interface; and an updated program output means which outputs the updated program from the extension board interface. |
