PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detector that can detect a detailed object and is easily installed.SOLUTION: By condensing infrared radiation emitted by light projection elements 111-1 to 111-18 to a spot light and forming a plurality of substantially circular light projection regions R110A-4 to R110A-18, R110B-4 to R110B-18, R110C-4 to R110C-18, and R110D-4 to R110D-18 in a detection region R100, the detection region R100 required for detection can be formed without radiating the infrared radiation to door panels 55a and 55b. Therefore, irregular reflection of the infrared rays by movement of the door panels 55a and 55b does not occur, and the amount of infrared radiation radiated to the light projection regions R110-1 to A110-18 can be made constant. Therefore, light receiving elements 120A-120D do not detect change of the amount of infrared radiation in each light projection region, so that malfunction of an automatic door sensor 100 can be prevented. |
