PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter including a light shield part having a laminated structure of color layers of two colors instead of a black matrix, wherein level difference from a color material forming each color pixel can be made to be small by an easy method and color layers of other colors present on the light shield part can be easily removed by polishing.SOLUTION: A red layer 1a having striped red pixel formation parts 1Ra and openings 1BGa for blue and green pixels, and a blue layer 2a having striped blue pixel formation parts 2Ba and openings 2RGa for red and green pixels are put one over the other, and a green layer 3a is respectively disposed, as island-shaped green pixel formation parts 3Ga, in the openings 1BGa for blue and green pixels of the red layer 1a and the openings 2RGa for red and green pixels of the blue layer 2a, whereby an X-direction light shield part and a Y-direction light shield part having a two-layer structure are formed. Only end portions of the green pixel formation parts 3Ga are put over these light shield parts to make it easy to remove the end portions by polishing. |
