The invention relates to a double coating for SAG mills, which allows installation and replacement times to be reduced and which is formed by: a first liner part (3') consisting of a first steel plate (9) mounted on a first rubber base (11); and a second liner part (3") consisting of a second steel plate (10) mounted on a second rubber base (12), both liner parts being equidistantly supported by a steel support (13) which, between said liner parts, includes a plurality of recesses (14) into which fastening bolts can be inserted. Said plurality of recesses comprises a groove that extends the length of the double liner. The first liner part (3') has at least a first loop (15) and the second liner part (3") has at least a second loop (16).
