摘要 Provided is an illumination device in which the heat generated by a power source circuit can be adequately dissipated. The illumination device is provided with: a light source module (1); a power circuit (6) that supplies power to the light source module (1); a heat dissipation section (3) that contains the power source circuit (6), and that dissipates the heat generated by the power source circuit (6); a base (5) that connects to an external power source; and an insulating ring (4) disposed between the heat dissipation section (3) and the base (5) that electrically insulates the heat dissipation section (3) from the base (5). The insulating ring (4) is a thermal conductor. Since the insulating ring (4) acts as a thermal conductor, the heat generated by the power source circuit (6) can be transmitted to the heat dissipation section (3) and the base (5) via the insulating ring (4), and can then be externally dissipated from the heat dissipation section (3) and the base (5). Since the base (5) can also be used as a heat-dissipating member, the heat dissipation area can be increased, and heat from the power source circuit (6) can be adequately dissipated.
