CODED KEYING INSERT FOR A MEDICAMENT CARTRIDGE

A keying insert (1) for use with a cartridge assembly (19) containing a fluid. The insert (1) comprises a main body (5) defining a bore (27) that extends from a proximal end to a distal end of the main body (5) and allows the fluid to dispense from the distal end of the cartridge (19) through a septum (2). The main body (5) includes a septum (2) for sealing the fluid within the cartridge (19) and a coding feature (8) that is keyed to a cartridge holder or other dispense interface.
