The stencil (1) has a metal support strip (2) at which a set of plastic guide blocks (3) is secured, where the guide blocks are arranged corresponding to a set of notches. The guide blocks are positioned at the stencil such that the guide blocks made in contact with smooth front ends during attachment of the stencil with a curved component e.g. door metal sheet, of a motor car at one of the notches. The guide blocks comprise attaching units i.e. magnets, for displaceably fastening the guide blocks at the curved component. An independent claim is also included for a method for manually manufacturing a sealing seam from a sealing paste at a shock edge between curved components.
