PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic display device in which maldistribution of electrophoretic bodies is prevented in a region where no electrodes are disposed, and which maintains high display quality, and to provide a method for manufacturing the electrophoretic display device.SOLUTION: A fundamental arrangement pattern of cells is a honeycomb-like pattern, and an arrangement pattern of electrodes is a lattice-like pattern. Electrode boundary partitions standing from on a lower substrate are formed in portions where no electrodes are formed. Cell boundary partitions standing from on the lower substrate or electrodes are formed in an arrangement pattern which is designed in consideration of a formation pattern of the electrode boundary partitions on the basis of the prescribed fundamental arrangement pattern of a cell. |
