PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To see that a coolant in a rotary electric machine and a coil contact sufficiently with each other.SOLUTION: The axis of rotation of the rotor 14 of the rotary electric machine 12 extends laterally. A charge member 34 is inserted into the space 30 between the stator core 20 and the coil end 28 of the stator 16 of the rotary electric machine to fill in the space 30. The coolant led by a cooling pipe 32 is supplied from above to splash onto the stator 16, especially, the coil end 28. As for the supplied coolant, its entry into the space 30 is checked by the filling member 34, and it flows along the periphery of the coil end 28. The time required for the coolant to contact the coil end 28 gets longer, and coolability is improved. |
