PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic file management system and method for securely and reliably managing encrypted files while reducing a burden on a client, systematically managing the encrypted files, and seamlessly adding and coupling encrypted files without modifying a standard web browser.SOLUTION: A file of a client 100 is encrypted and is transmitted to a web file server 200. The file remains encrypted even after the encrypted file is stored in the web file server. An encryption key for file encryption is automatically generated and managed for each session between the client and the server. The client is configured by adding an encrypting filter processing part 120 and a redirect driver 130 in addition to existing standard web browser functions.
