PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens and a method for manufacturing the lens, which can contribute to the improved flowability of a resin or other material during manufacture of the lens.SOLUTION: The lens (fθ lens 100) includes: a lens portion 110 having two oblong lens surfaces 111 and 112 opposite to each other; and two flange portions 150 and 160 provided at both ends in a longitudinal direction of the lens portion 110, and tapered toward the lens portion 110 and having slant surfaces 152 and 162 slanting to the longitudinal direction and connected to one lens surface 112. In the respective slant surfaces 152 and 162, an angle θ1 of the slant surface 152 relative to the longitudinal direction is different from an angle θ2 of the slant surface 162. |
