PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method capable of reducing or omitting work for cleaning accumulated ash.SOLUTION: This thermal power generation facility 1 includes: a boiler 10 burning fossil fuel; an electric dust collector 20 connected to the boiler 10 via a first flue 11; flue gas desulfurization equipment 30 connected to the electric dust collector 20 via a second flue 12; and a smokestack 40 connected to the flue gas desulfurization equipment 30 via a third flue 13. With the boiler 10 stopped, operation of the flue gas desulfurization equipment 30 is started beforehand, and ventilation processing is performed in the first flue 11 and the second flue 12, so as to clean remaining combustion ash adhered to inside of the both flues 11, 12. After the remaining combustion ash is removed by the flue gas desulfurization equipment 30, ventilation gas is discharged from the smokestack 40. |
