PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for treating fluorine compound-containing wastewater containing a fluorine compound such as lithium hexafluorophosphate or the like and organic matter by easy work without increasing cost.SOLUTION: The method for treating the fluorine compound-containing wastewater includes an organic matter decomposition process for irradiating wastewater containing at least the fluorine compound and the organic matter with ultraviolet rays in the presence of a photocatalyst and a fluorine compound removing process for removing the fluorine compound by treating the wastewater treated in the organic matter separation process using a separation membrane.
