<p>A method for determining whether to adopt a Policy and Charging Control(PCC) mechanism is disclosed in the present invention, and the method includes that when a user requests to access a network, an Authentication, Authorization and Accounting(AAA) server determines, for user access, whether to adopt the PCC according to at least one of or random combinations of information as follows: PCC support ability of a gateway in charge of the user access, subscription information of the user, and operator policy information. The present invention also discloses a system and an AAA server for determining whether to adopt the PCC mechanism. When the user accesses the network, the present invention enables the network side to determine, according to the user subscription information and/or network ability, whether to adopt the PCC mechanism to perform the PCC for the user accessing the network.</p> |
