FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed method comprises precasting of separate chain links, assembling pattern unit by articulating spherical hole made in lost patter bottom with ball feeder in skim bob. Lost patters are arranged inclined to horizontal plane to turn in said plane relative to ball feeder vertical axis. Pattern unit is placed on sand bed in moulding box. Chain is assembled from open lost pattern by placing cast links in levels on compacted sand layer and closing lost pattern bottom parts by top parts.
