PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for determining filling level or detecting the amount of a medium, e.g. the amounts of liquids, in a plurality of closely adjacent containers.SOLUTION: The apparatus (100) for the capacitive determination of the fill level in the individual containers (5.1 and 5.2) of a group (10) of regularly disposed containers of the same dimensions has a transmission electrode (201.1) and receiving electrode (201.2 and 201.3) in addition to a transmission circuit (57) and receiving circuit (58) for carrying out a capacitive measurement. The apparatus includes a plurality of electrodes (201.1, 201.2 and 201.3) which protrude in one direction in relation to a horizontal plane defined by a base plate (200) and which are uniformly mutually spaced apart such that a plurality of working zones of the same dimensions are formed. By means of connections 202 respectively, one of these two electrodes (201.1) is used as a transmitter and the other of the two electrodes (201.2 and 201.3) is used as a receiver. |
