PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the scroll a map and the sepcification of an area on the map by an easy operation, in a map display device having a touch panel.SOLUTION: In a map scroll mode, the proximity state of a user's finger is detected (S200:YES) and a finger position on a display screen is acquired (S210). When a prescribed time elapses with the finger position remaining unchanged (S220:YES, S230:YES), the execution of a map scroll mode is stopped and an area specifying mode is executed (240). That is, aside from the touch state of a finger, the proximity state of a finger is detected, and the mode is changed from the map scroll mode to an area specifying mode. In the area specifying mode, a track based on the change of the finger position is calculated, and a closed region formed of the track is specified as the area. |
