PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the temperature rise of a tapered roller bearing by radiating sliding frictional heat in a retainer whose temperature is likely to rise to thereby release heat generated in the tapered roller bearing to the outside, in the tapered roller bearing.SOLUTION: This tapered roller bearing device includes an inner ring, an outer ring, a plurality of tapered rollers rollably arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring, and the retainer 38 storing the tapered rollers. The retainer 38 is composed of annular portions 38a arranged on both the axial sides of the tapered rollers and columnar portions 38b for connecting the annular portions 38a on both sides. The tapered rollers are stored in pockets 38c sectionally formed by the annular portions 38a and columnar portions 38b. First oil grooves 38e for allowing lubricating oil to flow are axially formed in positions of abutting surfaces 38d storing the tapered rollers of the columnar portions 38b forming the pockets 38c. |
