PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and a data access method for increasing efficiency in access to stream data stored in a memory.SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus includes: a memory 2 for storing a plurality of stream data to be identified by stream identification information; a plurality of channel units 21-24 allocated for the plurality of stream data according to the stream identification information of the plurality of stream data to prefetch the stream data assigned from the memory 2, the channel units 21-24 being allocated to different stream data represented by different stream identification information; and a processor 1 for accessing the stream data prefetched by the channel units. |
