PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine equipped with valve stopping mechanisms, reducing an output shock during changing the number of cylinders by driving the valve stopping mechanisms.SOLUTION: In the internal combustion engine equipped with the valve stopping mechanisms 80 which are driven by hydraulic-driven sliding pins 86, response delay times from transmitting signals to oil control valves to operating/stopping intake valves 11 and exhaust valves 12 are set in a control map depending on control parameters, and the valve stopping mechanisms 80 are controlled in accordance with the control map. |
