PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape measure capable of stopping falling of the tape measure by a fall prevention rope, even when the tape measure is dropped by any chance, by providing on a body case of the tape measure, an engaging part engageable with a hook which is an engaging tool or the like provided on the fall prevention rope.SOLUTION: A plate member 5 on which the engaging part 4 to be engaged with the hook 3 which is the engaging tool provided on the external fall prevention rope 2 is formed, is provided on the outer surface of a peripheral wall of the case 1, and the diameter of a through hole 10 of the engaging part 4 is formed to be sufficiently large so that the hook 3 provided on the external fall prevention rope 2 can be engaged therewith easily. |
